So many reasons...

...to scrapbook.
Having Miles has renewed my love of scrapbooking. Everything he does, there I am with a camera, ready to capture the moment. And then comes the scrapbooking! I am busy picking out paper to scrapbook his first bath, newest onesie and everything in between.

Hot.Hot.Hot.

You can always count on Heidi Swapp to come up with the newest, hottest scrapbook must-have. I love her felt flowers and butterflies. I also like how the colors of her embellishments match her papers so well. I have been using the papers like crazy, they are too cute. And so girly.

New Stuff.

The Bloom line from ki memories is here. In typical ki memories fashion, the colors are bright, bold and the patterns are clean & simple. I love the way all of the papers coordinate so easily. These will make for some great Summer themed layouts.

For those of you who have been giving me heck: I'll have you know, I ordered this before I knew Miles was a boy. I just loved it, and I guess it works out well that I had a baby boy. You'll love it too. The colors are beautiful. And of course, the embellishments (LOVE Fancy Pants ribbon) are totally cute. Must have.

Extra! Extra!

If you're headed to the cabin, or just to the beach for the day, pick up the July issue of Scrapbook Trends. Now available in-store. Lots of great ideas to "scraplift".
Little unknown fact: I LOVE this magazine for travelling, taking to the beach or in the hammock for one silly reason: It's size. Easy to hold, easy to turn the pages. All magazines should be this size. So smart!

New

Come choose from dozens of new May Arts ribbons.

Sold by the metre. Lots of great colors and styles (grosgrain, satin, sheer and more!)

Storage Solution: Small glass jars are a great way to store pieces of ribbon. And when they are full, they look FABulous (I bought a jar for each color and displayed them on a shelf in my scrapbook room, shown below). I bought these great glass jars at Ikea for just $2.99 each.

There's only 1 thing...

...that will put an end to all of this online shopping. A baby.
Check out blablakids.com I'm not telling anyone what I bought (That's a direct result of guilt). I'm just hoping Brian won't even think twice when the words BlaBla appear on his credit card statement.
On a note more realted to scrapbooking, this little online obsession has led me to order some great new things for the store. Watch for great stuff from ki memories, Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricut, Crop In Style, Karen Foster & Doodlebug. Yay!

LOVE this book!

I loved it even more when I read on her blog that she wanted to call it

"Scrapbook Your Crappy Photos".

I met Donna Downey at CKU a couple years ago when she was just beginning to push her "photo-first" approach. I wasn't impressed (by the idea, not her). Now I am ALL OVER IT. And all over this book. If you've decided to take a "simple" approach to scrapbooking, buy this book. You won't be sorry.

Keepin' Busy...

And today that meant another day of walking around the mall with Brian.
My girlfriend Jesse has her wedding registry at Williams & Sonoma (LOVE!) and so I went in to check out what she had put on it. Needless to say, a "cheap" day of mall-walking turned into a little bit of a shopping spree for Brian & I.

I'm a huge Salmon fan. I love it. So when I saw this Grill Topper, I was sold. Can't wait to use it (why the rain???). The best part? A tray that slides underneath the grill & holds wood chips to smoke the fish.

Also bought this veggie basket for outside grilling. (Those potatoes look pretty darn good to me). Love it. Love it. Love it.

My plan for tonight includes a little scrapbooking, including finishing up a great little mini album I started with Heidi Swapp goodies. Can't wait!
